Multi-User Ocean Mapping & Visualization Platform

Real-time vessel tracking, GIS layers, and hydrographic data management at scale.

Client: Hydrographic and geospatial services company

The client needed a unified platform for vessel tracking, wind forecasting, and geospatial data visualization. Their existing workflow relied on fragmented tools that could not handle millions of records monthly or support multi-band geospatial formats in a cohesive interface.

We built a full-stack ocean mapping platform from scratch. The system integrates real-time vessel AIS APIs with speed classification and historical track rendering. We implemented GRIB2 wind forecast visualization, a multi-band GeoTiff/COG viewer and converter, Shapefile editing capabilities, US and Australian ENC chart rendering, and GMTDS visualization layers. The platform includes a subscription and RBAC system, an admin panel, and a database architecture designed to handle millions of records per month. Deployment supports both on-premises and AWS environments.
